Lawrence Cohen’s practice includes over 30 years of experience working hand in hand with clients and families to successfully resolve their legal needs. Prior to running his own legal practice, Lawrence held Partner positions at leading litigation and business law firms based in New York City and Long Island. Lawrence’s experience here included spearheading complex litigation matters, construction and labor law cases, business and commercial litigation, premises and product liability, and environmental and toxic torts.

Lawrence is an active member of Wealth Counsel and Elder Counsel, a premier organization supporting elder law and special needs attorneys and their practices. He has offices in Melville, Long Island and in North Shore Towers & Country Club located in Floral Park, Queens.

Lawrence received his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law, with an undergraduate degree in Finance from the State University at Albany. His Bar qualifications include New York, Connecticut, the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York. Lawrence resides on Long Island with his wife and two daughters.

Kenneth R. Tuch, ESQ., Of Counsel

About Kenneth

Kenneth R. Tuch has over two and a half decades of experience in business litigation, transactions and real estate, which includes representing clients across a wide spectrum of businesses and industries. His broad litigation experience is comprised of commercial, general and estate litigation representing clients both as plaintiffs and defendants.

He routinely works alongside elder law attorneys when clients need to buy, sell, or transfer real estate, which includes drafting contracts, title review, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. His tax planning work consists of ensuring that real estate transactions are structured in a tax efficient manner in order to minimize tax liabilities for clients. He has represented clients in various scenarios, particularly when dealing with complex legal matters involving elderly clients and their real estate assets.

Kenneth has also handled disputes related to conflicts in the area of administration of estates and trusts, breach of fiduciary duty, beneficiary rights, accountings, and other fiduciary litigation matters. His litigation experience also includes matters such as contract disputes, insurance coverage, indemnification claims, wage and hour and other employment-related claims, and shareholders’ derivative actions.

Kenneth is a Board Member of the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as the Chamber’s Attorney. He received his law degree from New York Law School, with an undergraduate degree from the State University at Albany. His Bar qualifications include New York, the U.S. District Court, and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Kenneth resides on Long Island with his family.
